​When is a technical photovoltaic project required?
As a general rule, photovoltaic installations of up to 10 kW can be processed with a Technical Design Report, while installations above 10 kW require a Technical Project, in accordance with ITC-BT-04 of the Spanish Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations.
Installations with lower power may also require a project due to their specific characteristics or if they are located in premises open to the public.

Does the service include professional approval, legalisation and commissioning?
Yes, when these services are included in the agreed scope. We can take care of the preparation of the project, professional association approval, legalisation before the Industry authority and commissioning procedures. We also submit notifications to the distribution network operator where applicable, once the installation has been completed and the corresponding documentation has been received from the installation company.

Can I contract only the preparation of the project?
Yes. We can prepare only the technical report or project, or also handle professional approval, municipal procedures, legalisation before the Industry authority and commissioning, depending on the requirements of each project.

Which professionals do you work with?
We mainly collaborate with installation companies and architectural practices that need to outsource the preparation of technical projects and the legalisation of photovoltaic installations. We offer both one-off collaborations and ongoing engineering services.

Can you work from a previously designed proposal?
Yes. We regularly work from the initial proposal provided by the installation company or architectural practice, reviewing the panel layout, selected equipment and installation characteristics in order to prepare the required technical documentation.

What does the photovoltaic project include?
It includes the technical report, electrical calculations, string configuration, sizing of conductors and protection devices, verification of inverters, drawings, single-line diagrams and justification of compliance with the applicable regulations.

What documentation do you need to get started?
We normally require plans of the building or roof, proposed panel layout, module and inverter models, battery specifications where applicable, location of equipment and electrical panels, approximate cable routes and electricity supply details.

Does the service include professional approval and legalisation before the Industry authority?
Yes, when included in the agreed scope. We can handle the technical project, professional association approval and subsequent legalisation before the Industry authority once the installation has been completed and the corresponding documentation has been received from the installation company.

Do you include the municipal prior communication or building permit?
We can also handle the municipal procedures, including preparation of the documentation, management of fees and applications for available tax reductions where applicable. This service is quoted separately.

Do you prepare legalisation projects for existing photovoltaic installations?
No. Our services are exclusively intended for new photovoltaic installations that have not yet been executed. We do not undertake regularisation, legalisation or corrective projects for existing installations.

Is a site visit necessary?
It depends on the characteristics of the project and the documentation available. We can usually work from plans, photographs and technical information provided by the installation company or architectural practice, provided that the information is sufficient.

How long does it take to prepare a photovoltaic project?
The timeframe depends on the power, complexity and documentation available. Once all the necessary information has been received, we establish the corresponding timeframe for preparation and processing.

Do you prepare projects for collective self-consumption and battery systems?
Yes. We develop projects for individual and collective self-consumption, with or without surplus generation, including battery storage systems when they form part of the installation.

Do you provide energy performance certificates for personal income tax deductions?
Yes. For photovoltaic installations in residential properties, we can provide installation companies and architectural practices with the pre- and post-installation energy performance certificates required to demonstrate the energy savings necessary for certain deductions in Spanish personal income tax (IRPF).
